Tuesday is the last day for seniors at Volcano Vista High School to sign up for “Mock it Til You Rock it.”
The Mock it Til You Rock it event is designed is to provide students throughout New Mexico with the opportunity to enhance their soft skills, and to help reduce the stress and anxiety that may surround a young person during their first interview, whether it’s for college or a career. The hope is to boost confidence by acknowledging strengths during interviews, along with providing constructive feedback in a low-stress environment.
Mock it Til You Rock it will take place Nov. 1 in the Volcano Vista library from 7:45-9:45 a.m.
During the session, students will learn how to:
- Create a resume
- Dress for success
- Learn about the businesses participating as interviewers
- Ask questions
- Succeed
Students will also lean about career opportunities in their community. Registration closes Wednesday morning.
