ABQ Academy boys top metro tennis
Albuquerque Academy boys took first place in the Albuquerque Metro Tennis Championships, held April 18-22, with an overall team score of 18.5.
Albuquerque Academy hosts Richard Harper Invitational April 22-23

Albuquerque Academy wins 4A State Golf Championships
Albuquerque Academy boys and girls golf teams won the 2022 4A State Golf Championships with a total score of 324 for the boys and 348 for the girls.
Albuquerque Academy student named U.S. Presidential Scholar
Quinn Ennis was named 2022 U.S. Presidential Scholar by the Department of Education on May 12.
Albuquerque Academy win NMAA Director’s Cup
Albuquerque Academy won the 2021-22 New Mexico Activities Association 4A Director’s Cup for the fourth year in a row. Academy scored 3,080 points, outcompeting second-place Los Alamos, which scored 2,460 points, and third-place Lovington, with 1,660 points.
Three Chargers football players win academic award
Class of 2023 Chargers Kellan Gehres and AJ Rivera, and Class of 2024 Charger Brody Whitaker were named National High School Coaches Association All Americans for the 2021-22 school year.
Albuquerque Academy athletic program named best all-around in state
Albuquerque Academy took the top spot in the state for the 2021-22 MaxPreps Cup, scoring 1,389 points. Georgia was the top state, with 10 schools receiving 1,000 points or more.
Senate president gives fiery speech at Academy convocation
Academy’s Senate President Mireya Macías started the 2022-23 school year by welcoming new sixth graders and reminding seniors they belong to a community that is ready to embrace them.
