Jodi Campbell, an educational assistant at Ventana Ranch Elementary, was awarded a $2,500 scholarship Tuesday.
Campbell was one of 12 Albuquerque Public Schools educational assistants to earn the scholarship.
Nusenda Credit Union and the APS Education Foundation team up to present the scholarships, which are for EAs seeking to be teachers through higher education and plan to receive teacher certification. It is designed to provide financial support during student teachering.
The scholarship is planned to be awarded again next year, with applications opening in December. For more information, go to the APS Education Foundation.
