The New Mexico Early Childhood Education and Care Department is offering healthy meals at no cost through its Free Summer Food Service Program this summer.
The program, which is funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, serves children ages 1-18 with no income requirements. There is no registration or enrollment required, and meals are served on a first-come, first-serve basis.
There are more than 550 meal site locations with many serving both breakfast and lunch.
Here are some of the locations in northwest Albuquerque:
Ventana Ranch Elementary
Beginning July 1, breakfast will be served from 7-7:20 a.m. Monday through Friday from and lunch from 11:05 a.m.-12:10 p.m.
Sunset View Elementary
Beginning July 1, breakfast will be served Monday through Friday from 7:20-8 a.m. and lunch from 11-11:55 a.m.
Taylor Ranch Community Center
Beginning Tuesday, breakfast will be served Monday through Friday from 8:30-9 a.m. and lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Paradise Hills pool
Beginning Tuesday, lunch from noon to 2 p.m.
