The man dubbed as the “Out of Gas Robber” struck the First Financial Credit Union at 6100 Coors Blvd. NW Monday.
The FBI and Albuquerque Police Department are seeking the help of the public in identifying the suspect, described as a Hispanic male approximately 6 feet tall. They say he is in his mid-to-late 30s or early 40s and is either bald or has a shaved head. He was wearing a blue sweatshirt, black headphones around his neck, gray cargo pants and was carrying a blue bag.
Officials say the supsect entered the credit union around 10:25 a.m. and demanded money from the teller. He received an undisclosed amount of money and headed north on foot.
This is the second robbery this month the “Out of Gas Robber” is suspected of, as he was already wanted in a June 17 robbery at Bank of the West, 500 Dr. Martin Luther King Junior Ave. NE.
The FBI is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.
