Crews will be working Saturdays on a Ventana Ranch water pipeline project in order to stay on schedule. From 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., workers will be crushing rock in the Piedras Marcadas Arroyo area.
Updates on the project sent to residents of the neighborhood state that regular work hours for the project are 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, altho longer hours or weekend work may be scheduled as needed and that all work is weather permitting and subject to change.
Continuing work on the project includes lane closures to install a new 16-inch raw water pipeline across the intersection of Rainbow Blvd. and Las Ventanas Road, which is scheduled to be finished Monday.
During Phase 1, one lane of traffic will remain open in each direction on Las Ventanas Road in the westbound lanes on the north side of the road. During Phase 2, one lane of traffic will remain open in each direction in the eastbound lanes on the south side of the road.
Additionally, Rainbow Blvd. continues to have northbound lanes closed between Ventana Ranch Road and Irving Blvd.; however, one lane of traffic will be open in each direction in the southbound lanes. This work is expected to continue through mid-September.
The pedestrian trail along the Piedras Marcadas Arroyo is also closed from Rainbow Blvd. to Universe Blvd. Additional phases will follow, with construction on the raw water transmission pipeline expected to last through the fall.
