Albuquerque Involved, an organization designed to help members find and get involved in nonprofits in the city, is looking for high school students to join its Mentee program.
Albuquerque Involved Mentees (AIM) was created in 2018 to bring students together to learn about and engage with the volunteer and nonprofit community. The AIM program gives students the opportunity and encouragement to work with local nonprofit organizations.
Applicants should be in grades 9-12 for the 2022-23 school year and able to meet once a month for at least one hour. AIM is looking for students who are community minded but have not had an opportunity to turn that mindset into action.
Students who are accepted into the program will create a grant and determine the winner of the grant using their knowledge of nonprofits.

For the 2022-23 year, student meetings will be online and service projects will be in person. Monthly meetings will be on Sunday for one hour between the hours of 4-7 p.m. Dates of the meetings will be determined at the first meeting. Dates and times of community service projects will vary depending on the activity. Monthly meetings and a minimum number of volunteer hours will be required for successful completion of the program.
