Sprng sports are about to get underway at Eagle Ridge Middle School.

Tryouts for baseball and softball are set for next week: 3-5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15; 3:45-5:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16; and 3:45-5:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17. Participants should dress accordingly as it may be could outside, and students should bring their own equipment such as gloves, athletic clothes, shoes and water.

Players will be evaluated on skill level, fundamentals of the game understanding of the game and attitude. Eighteen to 25 players will be selected for each team.

Baseball and softball are open to all grade levels at ERMS.

Track will begin Feb. 27. Only 50 athletes will be accepted for the team. If more than 50 come out, tryouts will be held to determine who makes the team. Track practice will run 3:45-5:30 p.m. with a practice schedule that will be developed once the team is determined. Track is open to seventh and eighth graders.

Those interested in trying out for any of the teams need to upload their physicals as soon as possible.
