Albuquerque Fire Rescue was dispatched to a small residential kitchen fire at 12216 Vienna Dr. NE at 5 p.m. Friday.

Engine/Station 16 was first on scene. After arriving, firefighters found smoke coming out of the front door of the single-story home. Residents  were already outside when AFR arrived, and fire crews took a hose line in through the front door and quickly extinguished the small fire that was contained to the kitchen.

There were no injuries to firefighters or to civilians and the residents of the home did not have to be displaced. There is no further information available at this time.
