Albuquerque libraries are teaming up with Parks and Recreation Open Space to offer free beginner birding classes for adults wanting to learn about bird watching. Classes will be instructed by park rangers.

In this workshop, folks will learn how to use binoculars and field guides to identify common species of birds. The ranger then takes everyone on a short, guided walk with pocket guides and binoculars provided.

The workshop will be from 4:30-6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, at the Lomas/Tramway Public Library, 908 Eastridge Drive NE. No registration is required.

For more information, go to the Parks and Recreation site.
