For the second time in two days, SWAT has been called out to help apprehend a suspect who has barricaded themself.

Just after midnight Monday, Albuquerque Police Department officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute near Rhode Island Street NE and Claremont Avenue NE. Officers attempted to apprehend a suspect who was wanted for domestic violence charges. The suspect then barricaded themself inside their residence, refusing to cooperate with officers.

The APD Tactical Unit, including SWAT and Crisis Negotiating Team, have been called in to aid in arresting the suspect.

At 9 a.m. Monday, APD announced the standoff has been taken into custody.

On Sunday, SWAT assisted in an arrest at the Enclave Apartments on Osuna Place between Eubank and Wyoming.
