The City of Albuquerque Animal Welfare Department is holding an adoption event at the end of April.
“Adopt an Artist Companion” will be April 29-30. AWD is searching for animal-loving artists to create artworks in association with the event.
There is no fee to apply and any interested artist will be considered.
Artists will use to paw prints of an adoptable dog or cat to create a unique piece of art. The art will be on exhibit and on sale in the shelter lobby during the adoption event.
All proceeds from the sale will go towards the city shelter’s homeless pets.
