The Albuquerque Police Department announced Thursday there is investigating a homicide in the 10400 block of Vista Del Sol Dr. NW, which is near Cibola High School.
Family members came to visit the house for Thanksgiving celebrations. They discovered 62-year-old Karlan Denio lying in bed and his wife, Connie, dismembered on the bedroom floor.
Police said Karlan Denio was diagnosed two years ago with frontotemporal dementia, a disease that can manifest in dramatic personality changes, emotional withdrawal and other mental health issues.
