Central New Mexico Community College will hold a Senior Night event Thursday at its main campus. The event is from 5:30-7:30 p.m. and is open to all high school senior students. Seniors will get help with: Submitting admissions application Preparing for the FAFSA and CNM scholarships Learning more about CNM’s certificate and degree programs Set up an appointment with an Academic Coach All students who register for the event will be entered to win CNM swag and a $100 CNM scholarship.
The pickup times for the popcorn fundraiser at Chamiza Elementary School have been changed because of “an illness at the shop and unforeseen circumstances.” Students were originally going to be able to pick up their popcorn orders Wednesday, but that has now been pushed back to Friday. The times for pickup are from 7:30-8 a.m. or 1:50-2:20 p.m. in classroom K-1. Black Friday marks the unofficial start of the Christmas shopping season. In the past, it has been associated with big savings and even bigger crowds as many shoppers want to get an early start on shopping and get the best deals.
