First West Kids is holding a Christmas camp at First Baptist Church of West Albuquerque Friday. The free camp is for kids from age 4 through sixth grade and will run from 5:30-8 p.m. Campers will be served pizza for dinner and cupcakes for dessert and enjoy crafts, games and the story of Christmas. Moderno, a sister restaurant of M’Tucci’s Italian on Coors and Montaño, has a large menu and plenty of tasty drinks. The star of the restaurant, however, is the stunning view of the Sandia Mountains. The beginning and advanced orchestras from Tony Hillerman Middle School performed their Winter Concert 2022 Tuesday night in front of a packed house of beaming parents, friends and family. Josh Osborne directed both orchestras. The beginning orchestra performed “Maiden’s Rescue,” “The Red Lion” and “St. Nick’s Canon on the Housetop.” The advanced group played “Adirondack Sleighride,” “Sweet Petite Winter Suite” and “Sleigh Ride Jingles.” The THMS band will put on a performance at 6 p.m. Thursday in the gym. Petroglyph Elementary School is inviting the entire family out Wednesday for a night of painting fun. The school will be hosting a Family Paint Night event at 6 p.m. Wednesday at in the cafeteria. There will be snacks, games and, of course, painting. Students and kids are free, and it’s $2 for adults. Petroglyph is asking everyone to register before the event to make sure there are enough painting supplies.

Tony Hillerman Middle School and Volcano Vista High School have teamed up with Blue Star Mothers of America for a donation drive. Blue Star Mothers of America is an organization of mothers, stepmothers, grandmothers, foster mothers and female legal guardians who have children serving in the military or who are veterans that was formed in 1942 in Michigan. The group provides support for active-duty service personnel, promotes patriotism and assists veterans’ organizations with 188 chapters across America. Josh Earp is working to help heal his Ventana Ranch neighbors. Earp, a masseuse with nearly 14 years of experience, recently opened Indigo Healing Massage. Indigo Healing Massage, located on the second floor of Demi’s Salon Boutiques at 10124 Coors NW, opened on April 2.
