Albuquerque Police detectives have made two arrests in a string of five armed robberies, including hitting multiple Ross stores throughout the city. Jason Roper and his 12-year-old nephew, Jeriah Salas, were charged when Salas was arrested at his middle school. For the first time in human history, NASA intentionally crashed a spacecraft into an asteroid on Monday. The DART spacecraft crashed into the asteroid called Dimorphos, a twin meteor to Didymos, and was live-streamed at 5:14 p.m. MST Monday. Police officers were dispatched to a suspicious person call at the Calvary Church, 4001 Osuna Road NE, around 11 p.m. Friday to find security guard and retired Bernalillo County commanding firefighter Daniel Bourne dead in a nearby arroyo. Bourne’s supervisor found Bourne when he came to check on him. Bourne, 61, had sent photos of a suspicious vehicle around 9:20 p.m. and was no longer responding.
