Nearly 200 students were expected to receive their high school diplomas at graduation events Tuesday. The Albuquerque Public Schools summer graduation ceremonies were held to celebrate students who took summer classes to earn credits needed to receive their high school diploma. More details are emerging about an officer-involved shooting at the Cora Vista Apartments last Thursday, July 21, that left one man dead and several wounded. Last Thursday, Albuquerque Police Department officers responded to an emergency call at 10600 Cibola Loop. Coronado Park is closing, and another will open to serve the area of Wells Park. The city announced that the location, a popular spot for Albuquerque’s homeless population, will close next month in a Monday press release. A new program connects businesses and residents directly to Albuquerque Police Department’s Real Time Crime Center. Police are continuing their investigationof an officer-involved shooting along Cibola Loop in northwest Albuquerque that left one man dead and sent a woman to the hospital.
