Halloween can really bring out the kid in all of us, and many families throughout the Northeast Heights go all out with their Halloween decorations for kids of all ages to enjoy.

Although many people take down their decorations during the day to defer would-be porch pirates, when the sun sets the city becomes one big, haunted house. Admirers of these Halloween-themed homes have already started make the rounds, driving around neighborhoods on Friday evening. Residents could be seen setting up their yards with Halloween favorites such as Jack Skellington, Regan from “The Exorcist,” a “Game of Thrones” dragon’s head and massively giant spiders.

Starting in Osuna Park Neighborhood, between Wyoming and Eubank on Gutierrez Road NE, a group of teenage residents in the area have taken it upon themselves to create a truly memorable experience for neighborhood kids this year. The decorations will be up all weekend, and candy will be given out starting Saturday at dusk. The boys have already been on the news and had videos shared of their décor on Tik Tok. Be sure to check out this great feat of Halloween decoration, but beware of the scarecrow with the candy bowl.

Just up the street on Dona Rowena, another house on the corner has decked out every inch of their yard with giant snakes and a spooky hot air balloon basket.

Up in the Glenwood Hills South neighborhood, just south of Comanche, residents prepare for a minimum of 100-200 trick-or-treaters on Halloween night, and what better way to greet children, than with fully embellished Halloween motif?

The residents at the corner of Camino De La Sierra and Casa Bonita NE welcome trick-or-treaters with open arms, dressed as characters like Winifred from “Hocus Pocus.”

Just west down Casa Bonita NE are two cul-de-sacs with yards jam-packed with all the Halloween-themed bells and whistles.
