Beginning today, Cielo Azul Elementary School is celebrating Read Across America week.

Read Across America week is aimed at getting children to read. The goal is to help with not only language skills, but to help them excel in in other subjects in school.

CAE is having a spirt week in conjunction with the program.

Thursday’s theme was “Reading Can Take You Places.” Students were encouraged to wear a shirt from a place they have been or hope to go to.

Friday’s theme is “Reading Can Jog Your Brain.” Students should wear their favorite workout clothes.

There is no school Monday or Tuesday for parent teacher conferences but spirit week resumes Wednesday with “Reading is Everywhere.” Students can wear clothing with words. (Must be school appropriate.)

Thursday is “Reading Adds Color to the World.”: Students can wear the color assigned to their grade.

Read Across America week concludes with “Snuggle Up With A Good Book” on Friday. Students can wear pajamas to school.
