Spring is in the air, which means the 2021-22 school year almost over. Before wrapping up for the year, community members are invited to attend a hybrid in-person/virtual Board of Education meeting at 5 p.m. April 20. The following is a summary of end of the semester events at Dennis Chavez Elementary:
April 21: Kindergarten open house. Hours are 2:30-3 p.m. for kids with last names A-L and 3-3:30 p.m. for kids with last names M-Z.
April 27: Administrative professionals day.
April 29: School principals day.
May 2-6: Staff appreciation week.
May 5: Family book fair night.
May 11: School nurse appreciation week.
May 13: Spring Fling from 5-8 p.m.
May 16: Play day for fourth- and fifth-graders.
May 17: Play day for second- and third-graders.
May 18: Play day for kindergartners and first-graders.
May 19: Play day for preschool and pre-k.
May 31: Last day of school. Dismissal time to be announced.
