Summer vacation is just around the corner, but there are still a few events students and parents should be aware of before dumping those textbooks. The following is a wrap-up of end of school events at Desert Ridge Middle School for April and May.

Eighth-graders planning on attending La Cueva High School are invited to an athletic open house at La Cueva’s Performing Arts Center at 6 p.m. April 25. The last day of the 2021-22 school year is May 31.

School Schedule
April 21, 22, 28: Soccer practice 3:30-4:30 p.m.
April 22: Teachers will hand in grades for progress reports, which will be available on ParentVue and StudentVue sometime next week.
April 26-27: Last days of testing.
May 4: Jazz band performance at 7 p.m. in the school gym.
May 5: Fifth Grade Open House Passport to Middle School, 6-6:45 p.m. for students with last names starting with A-L and 6:45-7:30 pm. for last names starting with M-Z.
May 12: Student-Parent-Staff Organization meeting from 8:20-10 a.m. The Google Meet link to the meeting is https://meet.google.com/tdb-grpq-evw.
May 17: Orchestra performance at 7 p.m. in the school cafeteria.
May 18: Band performance at 7 p.m. in the school gym.
May 19: Choir performance at 7 p.m. in the school cafeteria.
May 25: Eighth-grade dinner dance in the evening.
May 26: Eighth -grade field day from 9:30 a.m. to noon.
May 31: Last day of classes.
