A staple of New Mexico cuisine is on its way to Ventana Ranch this year.
Get ready for pizza, sandwiches and green chile ranch because Dion’s is coming to the neighborhood.
A sign posted on Universe, near the Speedway on Paradise, reads “Future Home” and features the Dion’s logo.
Dion’s Senior Marketing Manager Audrey Johnson confirmed that the popular pizza restaurant is coming to the neighborhood at some point this year.
“It’s definitely coming in 2022,” Johnson said.
Dion’s, a privately owned pizza company, was founded in 1978 and has become one of New Mexico’s favorite eateries.
The Ventana Ranch location will be the 13th in Albuquerque, and 27th overall, including stores in Texas and Colorado.
Dion’s is not the only new restaurant on the block.
Dutch Bros. is building a new location right next door.
The publicly held, national coffee chain has an unopened location listed at 9600 Universe Blvd. NW, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87114.
