It cost $101.71 for 21.8 gallons of regular unleaded gasoline at the Smith’s Fuel Center on 7525 Wyoming Blvd. NE at 2:15 p.m. Wednesday. And that was with 20 cents off per gallon using Smith’s fuel points. Without the discount, a gallon of regular unleaded was $4.85, mid-grade was $5.20 and premium fuel $5.55 a gallon.

Here’s a look at what other gas stations in the far Northeast Heights were charging on Wednesday:

• The price of regular unleaded at the Phillips 66 at 5301 Wyoming Blvd. went down from last week’s $4.88 a gallon to $4.73 a gallon on June 15. Mid-grade decreased from $5.33 to $5.18 a gallon, premium went down from $5.63 to $5.48, and diesel decreased from $5.70 to $5.66 a gallon.

• Prices at the Circle K/Shell gas station at 8101 Harper Drive also decreased since last week, with regular unleaded going from $4.90 to $4.86 a gallon, mid-grade from $5.35 to $5.30, and premium went from $5.65 to $5.62 a gallon. Diesel decreased 20 cents from $5.70 to $5.50 a gallon in a week’s time.

• A gallon of regular unleaded at the Circle K/Phillips 66 gas station at 5501 Alameda Blvd. increased five cents to $4.95 since last week; mid-grade also increased five cents from $5.35 to $5.40 a gallon, as did premium, now costing $5.70 a gallon. A gallon of diesel fuel cost $5.70 a gallon, the same as on June 8.

• The Chevron at 5980 Alameda Blvd. is charging $5 for a gallon of regular, up 10 cents from last week. Mid-grade jumped from $5.36 to $5.46, and premium went up from $5.77 to $5.87 a gallon. Prices for mid-grade were more than 24 hours old, according to Google Maps.

According to AAA data, the average price of regular unleaded in Albuquerque is $4.83 a gallon. A year ago, the average was $2.97 a gallon. New Mexico’s average price of fuel is $4.83, and the national average is $5.01. AAA data shows Harding County as having the highest average price of gasoline in the state at $5.42 a gallon.
