Albuquerque Fire Rescue responded to a fatal hit and run around 4 p.m. Saturday near mile marker 6 on Tramway Boulevard. One person on the scene described the incident as horrible, saying the accident involved a motorcycle and another vehicle that fled the scene.

Emergency dispatch records indicate Albuquerque Fire Engine and Fire Rescue 31 responded to the call:

Dispatch: “Just an update on the call that 31 … Engine 31 and Rescue 31 are en route to Tramway and Modesto. Currently at Tramway and mile marker 6; I’m sorry, and they have one possible deceased and another that they’re requesting lifeline for.”

Engine 31: “Yeah, arriving on scene. I have two individuals on the ground unresponsive.”

Dispatch: “Ten-four. S.O. is already setting up a landing area for a possible helicopter response.”

The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office, Sandia Police Department, and at least one ambulance also arrived on the scene.

At around 5 p.m., @BCSONM tweeted: “Deputies are on scene of a motorcycle crash on NM 556 at mile marker 6 (Tramway a mile up Forest Rd 333). It is confirmed a male was deceased upon arrival. Another patient is in critical condition. It is unknown on any other information at this time.”
