Donations will be accepted to help people affected by the fires in northern New Mexico Saturday at Cottonwood Mall from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Cumulus Media and University of New Mexico Athletics are co-hosting the drive. Everyone who donates goods will receive a voucher for a free ticket to the Lobos’ season opener on Sept. 3.
Donations will be collected in front of the Regal Theater at the mall.
Suggested donations are:
- Hygiene items
- Baby items, formula, diapers
- Linens, pillows, towels
- Toys and books
- Snacks and drinks
- Water
- Flashlights, batteries, phone chargers
- Sunscreen
- New socks, undergarments and flip-flops
The following items will not be accepted:
- Used clothing of any kind
- Household items
- Appliances
- Beds/used bedding
- Prepared meals
