The Makerspace at Georgia O’Keeffe Elementary has the tools needed to enter the space with an idea and leave with a completed project brought to life. This communal space, facilitated by instructor Cory Calvert, has just about anything and everything one would need to make almost anything imaginable.

But students cannot make these projects come to life without outside contributions from the community.

Any donations are welcome to the Makerspace, although here is a list of immediate needs

  • 3-D filament (1.75 PLA on Amazon)
  • 3-Doodler filament (Amazon)
  • Perler beads
  • Pom-poms
  • Wine corks
  • Craft sticks
  • Clothespins
  • Paper towel rolls
  • Markers
  • Duct tape
  • Googly eyes
  • Old and broken electronics
  • Screwdrivers
  • Markers
  • Kinetic sand

There will be two bins for donations near the school’s entrance at 11701 San Victorio Ave. NE.

If it is a large donation, contact the school office at 505-293-4259.
