Here’s our Monday rundown of everything you need to know for the week of Nov. 28 to Dec. 2.

The weather: Albuquerque is expected to have mostly sunny skies during the middle of week with temperatures in the mid-to-high 50s. Wednesday could be a little chilly with a high of 51. We will head into December with warm weather and a high of 62 on Friday.

Here’s what is happening in Albuquerque this week

  • Light of Enchantment at Sandia Speedway opens Monday and will run through Dec. 31. The 2-mile event allows families to drive through dozens of light displays, visit Santa’s playhouse, enjoy a choir contest and see the Digital Music Garden. The event is open from 4-9:30 p.m. daily with tickets ranging from$49-$149.
  • Coronado Mall will be hosting Pets Night with Santa this week. Bring your furry friends to meet and take a picture with Santa from 4-7 p.m. now until Dec. 5. Reserve your spot here.
  • River of Light, New Mexico’s original and largest walk-through holiday attraction, is now open. Purchase your ticket to view more than 700 light displays, animated and 3-D sculptures, and millions of twinkling lights while strolling on the one-way path.
  • The 2022 Men’s World Cup is heating up as group play comes to a close this week. Civic Plaza will host watch parties for the must-win USA-Iran match Tuesday starting at 11 a.m. and the Mexico-Saudi Arabia match on Tuesday at 11 a.m.
  • The ASUNM Arts and Crafts Studio is hosting its 58th Annual ASUNM Arts and Crafts Fair. The fair will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 30 to Dec. 2. The event will be held in the Ballrooms of the Student Union Building on the main campus of the University of New Mexico. Entry is free, and more than 70 local vendors will be on site.
