Holiday Park may be a smaller community center, but it offers distinctive features some of the city’s larger facilities don’t have.

Membership is free, and there are fitness classes, a computer lab with free Wi-Fi, and a game room with pool tables and ping pong.

The center also offers basketball, volleyball, guitar lessons, tai chi and high-spirit youth dance classes.

The facility has bridge club and an LGBTQ+ Volley meet up, as well as women’s-only basketball.

All ages are welcome, although children 15 and under are to be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and members must be 16 or older to utilize the fitness room and equipment.

Additionally, HPCC offers an after-school youth program for ages 5-15.

Provided by the Department of Family and Community Services, residents can reserve a classroom, the gymnasium or multipurpose rooms for any activities or private events.

The only class that has a fee is tai chi, which meets Mondays and Wednesdays from 8-9 a.m., 12:30-1:30 p.m., and 6:30-7:30 p.m. The fee is $10 for patrons ages 18-65, and $5 for those age 65 and above.
