The Jewish Community Center is holding a shoe drive for the Locker 505, which helps students with replacing their wardrobe.
During the month of March, anyone can stop by the JCC lobby to donate new shoes or socks. The greatest needs are sneakers or tennis shoes for toddlers, children’s sizes 10-16, as well as socks of all sizes.
Locker 505 is a nonprofit charity clothing bank that works with Albuquerque Public Schools to ensure students, who tend to grow out of their clothes and shoes each year, have what they need and are comfortable enough to go to school and focus on learning.
To donate, go to 5520 Wyoming Blvd. NE from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday or 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday through Sunday.
