The last day of school is just around the corner. The following is a rundown of La Cueva’s school schedule for April and May. A hybrid in-person/virtual Board of Education meeting is scheduled for 5 p.m. April 20 at the John Milne Community Board Room. To attend virtually, a meeting link can be accessed at aps.edu, where a link to the meeting’s agenda can also be found.

The APS African American Youth Empowerment Summit will be held virtually from 1-4 p.m. April 30 and is open to all high school students. Click the previous link to register and for more information.

La Cueva School Schedule

April 19: Career Day, 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
April 20: Texas Tech University lunch visit from 12-12:30 p.m.
April 25: Eighth-grade athletic open house at 6 p.m. Parent-Teacher Association meeting at 6 p.m.
April 29: Senior assembly from 9-10 a.m.
May 4-5: Senior finals, all day.
May 10: Cap and gown distribution from 8-10 a.m. Graduation rehearsal from 10 a.m. to noon. Honors ceremony from 6-7 p.m.
May 11: Graduation from 2:30-4 p.m. at Tingley Colosseum.
May 25-27: Finals, all day.
May 31: Last day of school.
