La Cueva High School varsity baseball is ranked number one in the 5A District 2 standings, having only lost one of the 16 games played so far. The team is on an eight-game winning streak, beating Piedra Vista at home 12-7 and 16-2 on April 9, according to maxpreps.com. Their next game is set for 6 p.m. April 13 at V Sue Cleveland High School in Rio Rancho.

La Cueva varsity softball is ranked number 13 in the 5A District 2 standings, having lost six of the 16 games played so far. They are on a six-game winning streak, beating Piedra Vista at home 3-2 and 10-5 on April 9. The team plays Los Lunas in a non-district away game at 4 p.m. April 13.

The La Cueva girls varsity tennis team have won 87 of the 89 matches played so far. Their next matchup is at 3:30 p.m. April 12 against Eldorado High School. They play Sandia High School at home 3:30 p.m. April 14. La Cueva boys varsity tennis won 77 of the 87 matches played so far. They go against Eldorado at 3:30 p.m. April 12 and Sandia High School at 3:30 p.m. April 14.

MaxPreps does not have the standings for La Cueva’s track and field or golf teams. La Cueva track and field teams are scheduled to compete in the April 22-23 Richard Harper Invitational at Albuquerque Academy. La Cueva boys and girls varsity golf teams are scheduled to play at Arroyo del Oso Golf Course April 19 from 2-7 pm.
