Memorial Day weekend is here, and Tin Can Alley is the spot to be! Live music, a fundraiser for wildfire victims, and a pet adoption event will take place inside the stacked shipping containers over the weekend.

For every pint sold of NMX Standard and Chola Fizz, $2 will be donated to the All Together NM fund in support of wildfire victims. The fundraiser event will be from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., May 28-30. Live music will also be performed inside Tin Can Alley at Santa Fe Brewing Co. over the three-day weekend.

The Alex Maryol Band will perform from 7-10 p.m. on Saturday, May 28, Vintage Brew is scheduled to play 5-8 p.m. on Sunday, and the Julian Dossett Band will play Monday from 3-6 p.m.. Santa Fe-based Alex Maryol Band plays bluesy rock & roll soul tunes, Vintage Brew plays rock, country, rhythm & blues and Julian Dossett also plays the blues.

“In the Meantime” is Alex Maryol Band’s eighth release and includes the songs “Love Is What We Are Made For”, “All Night”, and “Made in Santa Fe.” According to the Cascade Blues Association, Alex Maryol has opened for hit artists like Bo Diddley, Bonnie Raitt, Leon Russel, Blues Traveler and Otis Taylor.

Albuquerque-based Vintage Brew’s newest EP, “The Chase”, includes songs like “Where Does It Go From Here?”, “I’m Not the Only One”, and “City Dealer.” Vintage Brew featured songs on ReverbNation include the Johnny Cash cover “Folsom Prison Blues” and Robert Johnson’s “Sweet Home Chicago.”

Julian Dossett YouTube videos feature performances at the Sunport, the Main Library and a virtual concert played during the pandemic when local music venues were closed. Julian Dossett is originally from Louisiana and has played a variety of genres including western, swing, blues, jazz, and rockabilly.

In addition to the fundraiser and live music, there will be a Watermelon Mountain Ranch pet adoption on Saturday, May 29 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Watermelon Mountain Ranch website showcases dogs like Xena, a nine-month female Akita mix, and cats like 3-year-old female domestic shorthair Shenzi.

A Memorial Day run will take place 7:30 a.m., followed by a health fair from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Tin Can Alley parking lot.
