Marvin Johnson, a former basketball player at the University of New Mexico, is hosting a Winter Break Basketball Camp next week for hoopers ages 6-15.

The four-day camp begins Tuesday at Christine Duncan Academy with a session for kids ages 6-10 at 10 a.m. to noon followed be a session for kids ages 11-15 from 1:30-3:30 p.m.

The camp is $110 per child and includes a free T-shirt, training and games for basketball players at any skill level.

Johnson, who owns the single-game scoring record in UNM history with 50 in 1978, has been conducting youth basketball camps for more than a decade in Albuquerque.

Johnson’s advice to campers: “Bring a great attitude, come ready to learn a lot and have a great basketball experience.”
