Students at Madison Middle School will be able to view their class schedules for the upcoming school year on StudentVUE beginning Aug. 5. Schedules can be printed at home or hard copies picked up at the school gym Aug. 8-9.
Madison Middle School Principal Tammy Crespin notified parents and students of other important dates on ParentVUE and StudentVUE Tuesday, July 26. “I will be sending out my first Principal’s Message for this school year on Aug. 7 at 6:00pm. It goes out every Sunday as a robocall and as an email,” Crespin’s email reads. “If you do not receive it, please check your email restrictions and that your email is correct in ParentVue. These messages give important need-to-know-information for the upcoming week.”
Students in grades six through eight who are new to Madison are invited to the school gym 9 a.m. to noon on Aug. 9 to meet the principal and teachers, take a campus tour and receive class schedules. Parents and guardians do not need to stay at the school during the orientation, and registration is not required. For more information about Madison’s Jumpstart event, call 505-299-4735.
Other important dates include in-person assistance with school registration from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 8-9 from in the school library. Online registration through ParentVUE is encouraged, but those who need help can ask for it during those days at the school. The first day of school for students is Wednesday, Aug. 10.
Chromebooks, lockers, agendas and PE uniforms will be distributed during the first days of school during school hours. Student pictures will be taken at the school Aug. 12. Pictures will be used in the school yearbook and for student IDs. Pictures will be available for purchase, and the first issued IDs will be free. Check ParentVUE or visit the school’s website at madison.aps.edu for more information.
“That’s all for now!” Crespin said. “My staff and I are very excited to start the new school year with our students. It is going to be a magical year!”
