The Sandia High School boys’ varsity baseball team ended La Cueva’s nine-game winning streak on Saturday, beating the Bears on their home turf 9-5 and 11-5. La Cueva beat Cleveland High School during an April 14 away game 6-4.

The Bears take on Farmington at noon and 2:20 p.m. Saturday, April 23, in a two-game home conference matchup. La Cueva is number two in the 5A District 2 standings with four wins and two losses. Sandia is number one with five wins and one loss.
