As Easter weekend begins with Good Friday, some churches around the neighborhood are preparing for a busy couple of days.

Common Ground Church, located in Ventana Square, is offering a service at 6 p.m. Friday. Then on Sunday, there will be an extra service at 7:30 a.m. in addition to the usual services offered at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church will have Good Friday services at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m., with Stations of the Cross at 4:30 p.m.

Saturday, there will be an Easter Vigil Mass at 8 p.m.

Easter Sunday will offer services at 7 a.m., 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.

The 9 a.m. Easter Sunday Mass and the Easter Vigil Mass will be live-streamed.

Albuquerque’s First Baptist Church will have a Good Friday service at 6 p.m. and Easter Sunday services at 6:31 a.m. (sunrise), 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

Sagebrush Church’s Riverside location will have services Saturday at 4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. and Easter Sunday at 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and noon. Those services will all be live-streamed.

Church Alive will have an Easter Sunday service at 1 p.m.
