Rejoice, Northern Meadows and North Hills residents. Love At First Slice, a pizza food truck, has a new home, and it’s right off Cherry Road.

“Everyone has to drive ridiculous amounts to get food, and if we are a little help for a mom in the middle of the week, then that’s what we are here for,” co-owner Amanda Lennon said.

Love At First Slice is located right next to Furniture 42 and Gnomad Coffee. The pizza food truck is co-owned by Lennon, Brian Brocksmith and Brandon Psomas. The three also co-own Gnomad Coffee.

“It’s been in the works for awhile with the owner of Furniture 42; we’ve been talking to him. We co-own Gnomad Coffee,” Brocksmith said. “Being here in the past and then having the opportunity to be here again seemed like a no-brainer… and the neighborhood needed it.”

Love At First Slice uses a wood fire oven, and their pizza has a neapolitan style crust.

“I like to make people happy through food, anytime someone comes in and they don’t know what they want, I like to ask what they don’t like,” Lennon said.

Love At First Slice has sold out every day since opening earlier this month.

“It’s only our fourth day open,” Brocksmith said recently, “and our opening weekend we sold out. Well, we’ve sold out three-days-in-a-row and this is number four. The response has been amazing.”

Love at first slice is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and they are closed Mondays and Thursdays.

“Hopefully, we will have a brick-and-mortar somewhere in Rio Rancho soon. If this goes well, then that’s kind of what we are hoping for,” Lennon said.
