The first day of legal sales of marijuana for recreational use appeared to be a big success for Urban Wellness, a cannabis dispensary with five locations in Albuquerque.
The location in Northwest Albuquerque had a long line in front of the building Friday afternoon as New Mexicans were eager to score some pot legally.
Despite the long line, which was moving quickly, at least one customer was enjoying the experience.
“It’s a lot easier this way than it is to buy it illegally,” Christian Sanchez said.
The NW Urban Wellness dispensary is located at 4601 Paradise Blvd. NW.
