Gas prices continue to rise into the summer months, averaging $4.89 per gallon in Albuquerque’s 87111, which is up significantly from last week’s average at $4.45 in Albuquerque. Tips to help take the sting out of prices are loyalty programs that sometimes drop prices up to 30 cents or more per gallon, filling up earlier in the week, or pay with cash when there is an incentive to do so.

Here are the closest and cheapest stations nearby:

Sam’s Club and Costco on Renaissance are both at $4.51 per gallon if folks with memberships don’t mind waiting in the lines there.

Other options closer to home are at the Murphy station at 9700 Montgomery NE at $4.82 per gallon and the Phillips 66 at 9811 Montgomery NE at $4.83 per gallon.
