It’s been bad news at the pumps lately for motorists as the average price for a gallon of gasoline in Albuquerque jumped from $3.59 last week to $3.77 Wednesday.

It wasn’t as bad of news in the neighborhood as several stations in northwest Albuquerque had prices below the citywide average.

Costco and Sam’s Club, which each require a membership, were easily the lowest in the neighborhood at $3.39.

Murphy Express offered the lowest prices without a membership at the locations on Alameda ($3.72) and 528 ($3.73).

Phillips 66 on Alameda and Speedway on Alameda were each at $3.74.

Three Circle K stations were also below average: Corrales Road ($3.74), Second Street ($3.75) and Unser ($3.76).

The stations above the city average include:

  • Smith’s on McMahon ($3.79)
  • Chevron on Paradise ($3.89)
  • Valero on Paradise ($3.89)
  • Speedway on Paradise and Speedway on Golf Course, both at $3.89
  • Smith’s on McMahon ($3.89)

The Chevron on Coors again had the highest price in the neighborhood at $3.99.
