The southbound right lane and bike lane will be closed on Ventura Street at its intersection with San Francisco Road until curbline milling and asphalt resurfacing is complete. The project is scheduled to be finished by June 24.

Phase 1 of the project includes total closures of east- and westbound lanes on San Francisco just east and west of Ventura. Phase 2 includes the southbound bike and lane closures on Ventura. A flagging operation will be used to maintain two-way traffic. The city’s Municipal Development Department urges drivers to use caution and to be prepared to stop.

Lane closures will be between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the intersection with Ventura. Construction on San Francisco is permitted between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. Closures will be continuous until construction is complete.

Jason Raines of Cutler Repaving is the listed contact for the project. Call 785-766-5964 for more information.
