Wyoming Boulevard has been moving at a slower pace this week.
Hot In-Place asphalt recycling along Wyoming, between San Antonio Drive and Academy Road, is scheduled to be complete by May 3. According to the Albuquerque city traffic report, Phase 1 will cause the northbound right lane, center lane and bike lane to be closed; and Phase 2 will close the southbound right lane, center lane, and bike lane.
According to dustrol.com, Hot In-Place recycling “is an efficient process used to repair and rehabilitate deteriorated bituminous streets and highways on-site with specialized equipment.” Bitumen is a black mixture of hydrocarbon residue from petroleum distillation used for road surfacing and roofing.
The on-site recycling process reduces project costs by eliminating the need to haul off materials for mixing or processing, offering environmental advantages. For more information, visit dustrol.com or contact Aaron Alshouse at 915-217-5145.
