Duke City Beaches and IAFF Local 244 is teaming up for second annual Spike for Survivors sand volleyball tournament sponsored by Topgolf. All proceeds will go to Albuquerque Area Firefighters Survivor Fund.
The organizers of this event will match all funds generated and donate that amount to the families of the four fallen first responders in this week’s helicopter crash. According to the host Duke City Beaches, “The survivors fund is used to help relieve some of the financial burden for our fellow brothers and sisters when they or their family members require ER visits. We appreciate all the love and participation in helping support your local firefighters when they themselves require a little help.”
Check-in begins at 9:30 s.m. Saturday, July 23, and the tourney starts at 10 a.m.
Duke City Beaches has a menu of soups and salads, sandwiches, quesadillas and pizzas with with small selection of beers, ciders, seltzers and wines.
