There is so much for families to do during the month of October, it can be kind of overwhelming. There are so many haunted houses, corn mazes and fall fests it might be difficult to keep up. Here is a guide list of events throughout the month for people looking for things to do this spooky holiday season.
McCall’s Pumpkin Patch and Haunted Farm
McCall’s is a New Mexico tradition. Take the kids out to the pumpkin patch for picking and the 16-acre corn maze, but there are tons of activities for kids to do such as the sports barn, pedal cart track, pumpkin and apple cannon shows, and the list goes on with more than 60 attractions. The pumpkin patch events are noon to 6 p.m. Fridays and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
McCall’s is also offering its Haunted Farm, where it is strongly encouraged to buy tickets online. It is offered every Friday and Saturday until Oct. 30. For more info about the patch and haunted farm, click here.
Maize Maze
A corn maze is being operated at the Los Poblanos Open Space Rio Grande Community Farm from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 15-16 at 1701 Montano Rd NW. There will be live music, family activities, hay rides, local vendors and,, of course, the famous Maize Maze. For more info, click here.
Fall Fest
Calvary Church, 4001 Osuna Road NE, is hosting a fall fest beginning at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31, with live music, bounce houses, games and giveaways, costume and carving contests. Considered a free Halloween-alternative event. For more info, click the link here.
Trunk-or-Treat
Get your costume on and join Sandia Presbyterian Church, 10704 Paseo del Norte NE, for an afternoon of fall fun from 4-6 p.m. Oct. 30. Check it out here.
