Albuquerque Fire Rescue was able to quickly extinguish a large structure fire that occurred Thursday evening at the Telegraph Hill Apartments, located at 7000 Louisiana Blvd. NE.

According to a media release from AFR, “Firefighters jumped into action bringing the fire under control within 15-20 minutes of arrival.” A 16-year-old female was in the apartment at the time of the fire but was able to self-evacuate with no injuries reported. A 28-year-old male was transported to Lovelace Women’s Hospital for non-fire related injuries, according to the release.

Neighbor Ryan Jay Slater, founder of OnlythePlanetMatters, was able to capture AFR extinguishing the blaze on film. In the video, firefighters can be seen dousing the blaze and snuffing out the flames within minutes.

“The apartment was a total loss and there was minor fire extension into the neighboring apartment,” the AFR release reads. “There were no injuries to firefighters and the cause of the fire is unknown at this time. No further information is available.”
