The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office arrested 29-year-old Marty Platero, who is being charged with first-degree murder in the stabbing death of 25-year-old Ryan Spencer. Platero is accused of stabbing Spencer to death on Forest Road 333 near the La Luz trailhead Wednesday, July 20, at around 3 a.m.
According to the Metropolitan Detention Center inmate records, Platero’s bail has yet to be set by a judge. A description of the charges says Platero is being held on an open count of murder in the first degree (willful and deliberate, felony murder or depraved mind).
