The La Cueva boys and girls varsity soccer teams had a phenomenal 2022 season. Some of the best matchups came against Valley High School for the boys and Albuquerque High School for the girls. Here are some photos from those games.
Boys soccer: La Cueva vs. Valley
The boys finished the season ranked No. 1 with a 10-0 record in 5A District 2 and No. 5 in New Mexico 5A with a 16-2-3 overall record. One of their toughest opponents came early in the season during the Albuquerque Metro Championships where they tied Valley 1-1. Five photos from that matchup are seen below.
Girls soccer: La Cueva vs. Albuquerque High
The girls finished the season No. 3 with a 7-3 record in 5A District 2 and ranked No. 7 in New Mexico 5A with a 15-7 overall record. One of their toughest opponents was in their 3-2 season opener loss against Albuquerque High. Five photos from that matchup are seen below.
