Albuquerque Police detectives have made two arrests in a string of five armed robberies, including hitting multiple Ross stores throughout the city. 

Jason Roper and his 12-year-old nephew, Jeriah Salas, were charged when Salas was arrested at his middle school. In speaking with him, his uncle was also arrested for driving his nephew in a black Cadillac to the businesses he robbed over the past few months, according to a statement from Gilbert Gallegos,APD communications director, on Thursday evening. 

Salas was booked into the Bernalillo County Juvenile Detention Center on charges of  armed robbery, attempt to commit a felony and conspiracy. Roper is charged with two counts of armed robbery, five counts of conspiracy to commit armed robbery, tampering with evidence, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and abandonment or abuse of a child.
