Volcano Vista High School has found its new head volleyball coach.

The school announced Friday that it has named Ashley Kelsey as the new boss.

Kelsey played four years at the University of New Mexico after missing two seasons due to injury. In 2012, Kelsey took a redshirt season after tearing her ACL.  She missed the next season after tearing the same ACL again.

Once Kelsey got healthy, she was a standout for the Lobos, racking up the third most digs in program history.

Kelsey has been coaching volleyball since she left UNM, including a stint at E3VB in Rio Rancho.
