Volcano Vista rising sophomore Noah Massey was recently one of 32 players selected from a group of thousands who tried out to play for the National Team Identification Series USA Baseball Team.

Massey is a catcher for the Hawks and will be representing the Southwest Region at a tournament in Cary, North Carolina, Aug. 10-14.

Annie Massey has organized a fundraiser to help cover the travel expenses for Noah with a goal of $5,000. You can donate here.

Massey carries a 4.1 grade point average and is ranked No. 1 in his class academically.

“Noah has a great future in Volcano Vista High School baseball,” Volcano Vista athletic director Ron McMath said. “He is a skilled, hardworking player and a great student.”
